Once upon a time, there was a man. The man was feeling thirsty, so he went to the kitchen to get some water. The kitchen is a room in a house where people cook and prepare food.
He saw a glass on the counter and picked it up. A counter is a flat surface in the kitchen that people use for preparing food or storing things.
Then he went to the sink, which is a fixture in the kitchen where water flows out, and turned on the tap. A tap is a valve that controls the flow of water from a pipe.
The water flowed out of the tap and into the glass. He filled the glass with water.
The man drank the water slowly. It was cool and refreshing. When something is cool, it has a low temperature, and when something is refreshing, it makes you feel better.
He drank until the glass was empty. Then he put the glass back on the counter and wiped his mouth with his hand. He used his hand to clean his mouth.
After drinking the water, the man felt much better. He was no longer thirsty. He went back to his work feeling refreshed and energized. When you feel energized, you feel more active and awake.
The man’s friend came to visit him later in the day. The friend saw the empty glass on the counter and asked, “What were you doing?”
The man replied, “I was drinking water. I was really thirsty.”
The friend nodded and said, “That’s a good idea. It’s important to stay hydrated.” When you are hydrated, you have enough water in your body.
The man smiled and said, “Yes, it is. Water is good for you.”
The friend agreed and they continued their conversation. The man felt grateful for the refreshing water that had quenched his thirst. When you quench your thirst, you drink enough to satisfy your thirst.
